So I finally got an appointment with an Orthopedic Dr., scheduled for Monday. Which will be 1 week after my tear accured. (NOTE: Never get injured near a holiday and in the beginning of Summer, everyone is on vacation and available appointments are impossible to find.
My elbow swells up to the size of a grapefruit if I do not keep it iced regularly and rested. Which if you know me……rested is an impossible thing (ADHD). I am eager to get to the doctor to find out the severity of the tear, whether it is the tendon or the muscle.
I have been focusing on cardio and legs, with some major core exercises…..HATE spin classes, but as punishment for getting injured, I have been subjecting myself to them.
I had a quiet 4th of July, BBQ’d at a friends house and then got home a little early to Ice and rest my arm and to pop some good pain meds. I also had to check on my dogs and make sure they were not freaking out because of the Fireworks, since this was their first 4th……they seemed more curious then scared.
I am considering trying an IF diet plan while I am recovering and seeing how it works for me…..probably a 16/8 plan.

So I need to see the Orthopedist, and get my MRI’s done. I am hoping for a minor tear only in my Tricep. Increasing my protein and glutamine intake to speed recovery time. That is if only minor tear and not a complete tear. It is a pain in the butt typing with one hand. I hate wearing this stupid sling, but know it is the only thing keeping me from using my arm. I guess I will do a spin class tonight, since lifting is out of the picture for now.
